Now, after spending time putting it through its paces—the setup was straightforward, the app intuitive. Mapping and scheduling felt natural, and I set it loose on hard floors, low-pile rugs, and stairs thresholds. It breezed across transitions I previously considered impassable. The suction was noticeably vigorous, lifting embedded debris and hair without a hitch. Corners and edges got attention too, thanks to the FlexiArm side brush. Mopping with hot water left floors visibly cleaner, though edges weren’t perfect every time and required a second pass.

Digging deeper—my pros and cons: On the plus side, build quality feels premium: the robotics elegantly combine suction power with real-world convenience. Performance on hard floors was stellar—dust, crumbs, hair, even stubborn gunk took a hit. Setup and app controls were slick, and the dock simplified maintenance brilliantly. The robot was quieter than expected, especially when mopping—perfect for pet households or watching late-night TV.
On the flip side, carpet cleanup was decent but occasionally required multiple runs, especially on thicker rugs. Mop performance at edges sometimes missed a few streaks unless I guided it back over. The price tag puts it firmly in premium territory—so budget-conscious viewers may feel the pinch. Those are mostly subjective trade-offs, but still worth considering.
As for value, at that premium level, you’re paying for automation and build ingenuity. Alternatives like the Dreame L40 Ultra or Roborock Qrevo Master offer solid suction and self-emptying docks at lower price points. But they lack the CurvX’s AdaptiLift chassis and hot-water dock. So if thresholds, cleanliness, and fine automation matter, the CurvX justifies its cost—otherwise, solid alternatives exist for less.
In comparison, the Dreame L40 Ultra (11 000 Pa suction, competent mop, budget-friendly) and Roborock Qrevo Master (lower suction, fewer lift capabilities) offer good mid-tier options. But they don’t match the CurvX’s obstacle finesse or docking convenience.
In terms of build quality, it’s thoughtfully engineered. The chassis lift system is unique and effective, and the materials feel sturdy. Reliability seems strong so far, and Roborock’s reputation for longevity supports confidence—though time will tell.
Customer support wasn’t needed during my review, but Roborock generally gets positive marks for timely assistance and easy access to parts—good to know if you ever need it.
